A Simple Tool to Build Self Confidence

Today I want to give you a tip on how to build self-confidence.  Really simple – “I am” statements.

I am a teacher. I am happy. I am abundant. I have loving relationships.  Whatever it is, it will build confidence.

We go through life and there are times when we feel insecure, that we don’t have any value. Those are the times we need to step back into who we really are: grand, magnificent people.

When you have positive statements that are telling you who you are it is also telling the Universe who you are.

That will start the movement towards that reality even if you don’t feel it today.

I used to say I wanted to be a teacher but I didn’t want to teach kids in school. That wasn’t how I saw myself teaching. At that time, in my early 20’s, I didn’t really understand what that was. I am a teacher. I’ve been teaching all my life I just didn’t realize that is what I was doing at first.

When we come up against the bad stuff, and we can come up against it many times in our lives, we can feel like we are in a pit of despair. As shattered human beings, we think we are worthless, we’re hopeless.

This has happened to me more times than I can count. At these times when I forgot who I was, I went to my friends and they reminded me of who I was.

We don’t always feel completely confident in what we’re doing or the decisions we’re making or if we are on the right path. If we’re following your heart, then you are on the right path.

When we get derailed is when it gets really challenging to continue on.

When I was in a horrible place of despair and I couldn’t remember why I was here, why I wanted to be here my friends would ask me “what are you grateful for?” Right then and there that was the only thing to hold on to.

When I went back into a place of gratitude I was able to remember who I was. Then, I started back on the “I am” statements.

I am worthy. I am a lovable person. I am deserving. Those are the things that would get me out of despair.

It’s a simple, powerful tool because when you are saying “I am” you are bringing in your God energy. Because God is “I am.”

So remember you’re always where you are supposed to be regardless of how you feel. You can always get yourself out of where you are.

When you move in a confident direction, you can move mountains.

I know we all fall and we all fail at times but that doesn’t mean we have to stop. It doesn’t mean we have to stop believing in who we are.

So when you say “I am” you just brought in the God energy that can pick you up and have your back and move in that direction.
