A Simple Technique for Beating Worry

Today I want to share with you a simple technique for beating worry or concern if you don’t know how to solve a problem. It’s a very simple technique.

I recommend that you get a jar with a lid and put a label on it that says “God Can.”  Then, I want you to write down everything you are worried about, everything you don’t know how to solve. Whatever your concerns are. Put that in the jar and seal it.

When your mind starts to bring up the worry and the concern, the “How am I going to do this?” you remind it that you don’t know how to do this but God can.  

It’s in the jar waiting for God to help you find a solution.

The reason this works is that when you are in a stress or worry state you are constricted. The more you’re constricted the less you hear messages.  The less creative you are in finding a solution. We were never meant to do this alone – we are co-creators with God.

By putting all that doubt and worry and concern in a jar so that God can find the answer for you, you can let go of it for a while. That answer is going to come in that quiet still voice, or a feeling, or however you receive messages.

You can only hear those answers if you are unconstricted.

I find this to be very helpful because there are a lot of times that I have no idea how I’m going to do something. If I start getting worried or concerned, I no longer get any ideas. When I put the worry and fears in the jar, I’ve noticed that I suddenly have ideas come to me. I’m realizing that Spirit is guiding me but that can only happen because I’m not dwelling on the worry or concern.

I invite you today to give this a try and just see what happens. We all seem to think that we have to do everything on our own. It makes me realize that control is just an illusion in my mind. There is no way I can do all of this by myself. So when I put something like this in a jar it helps me remember that I have the support of Spirit behind me. Anything is possible because I’m not letting all that head garbage get in my way. And you move so much faster.
